Investing in Nurse Entrepreneurs

Founded by Marla Weston and Beth Brooks, venture capital firm Nurse Capital closed its inaugural $1M Fund to support nurse-led startups. It’s investing in RN-led companies creating innovative healthcare products and services. Weston and Brooks, who hold doctorates in nursing science, aim to fill a funding gap for nurse entrepreneurs, focusing on healthcare devices, technology platforms, software, patient education, and wellness products while emphasizing the unique insights nurses bring to healthcare innovation. The fund also seeks to increase venture capital investments in women-led and underrepresented founder-led businesses.
